Oh man am I glad to be back.....I started going through Blog withdrawals over the last week. Haha. Let me fill you in on my adventures over the last week:
My trip started on Monday as I flew to
Theo Chocolates in Seattle to put on an experience for their corporate team. My intention for going out there was to explore a partnership with this amazing chocolate company.
"Hold up, a partnership with a chocolate company? What kind of shenanigans are you up to Max!!"
Is that what you're thinking? Well then my friend, you must not have attended one of our events yet because if you had, you would have experienced our signature
selfcentered chocolate meditation. mmmmm......I'm drooling just thinking about it. Ok, back to the story.
From the moment I walked into the factory, I was impressed with the vibe. The employees were super happy (or totally high from all the chocolate they eat), the quality of the product was amazing, and the integrity flowing through the organization was clearly felt. In fact, I came to find out that they are the only fair-trade and organic certified chocolate company that roasts their own organic cocoa beans in the US. Maybe it was because they kept feeding me chocolate but I was getting really excited about this potential alliance.
The event was awesome. Their team was engaged, present, and clearly connected. The owners seemed excited and the employees were jazzed. In fact, I got a note from the VP of marketing who shared with me that they have set up a room within their factory (with candles) where employee's gather every day to get
selfcentered. Mission accomplished.
When I finally laid down to go to bed that night, I realized that I was completely, totally, 1000% awake.......maybe it was because I was so excited about the partnership.....or maybe it was because I ate 3 pounds of pure organic chocolate. Oops.
I went from Seattle to Utah to do some more work with
The Zrii Team and then to take a course called
The Great Life. In addition to connecting with some very solid potential investors, the 4 day experience at Great Life was intense, meaningful, and profound. During the training, it became clear that I was holding onto some crap that was logged way deep in my consciousness. Through this masterful process, I was finally able to let go of some painful and limiting emotions that were held deep below the surface. It truly made me appreciate the fact that everyone (yes, everyone) can benefit from more internal work. From my perspective, this course if extremely useful for anyone who holds onto any negative beliefs about themselves......which I imagine is pretty much everyone on the planet.
Finally, I had a conversation with my dear friend Tracy that has really stuck with me (and I would like to share it with you). She had seen an interview with a famous spiritual teacher who had traveled the world lecturing about consciousness. He worked long hours, traveled constantly, and yet he never seemed to be stressed out. When asked how he could maintain his level of being even as he got caught up in the insanity of the world, he simply said:
"I'm not trying to get anywhere"
So simple....so profound.
What does this mean to you?
Because this struck a very deep chord with me, I'm going to post another blog about my thoughts tomorrow. I'm glad to be back. I got my blog fix for the day. ahhhhhhh
