The selfcentered Tour - A meditation inspired revolution for authenticity seekers

It's not about Obama

Wow, what an evolutionary week!

Record numbers of young people came out to vote and we
elected our first black president. As a result, people from
all different cultures, races, and backgrounds are
celebrating these monumental achievements.  It feels like
change is in the air.

What's interesting about the shift that have taken place
over the last few days is that it's not actually about Obama;
at least not entirely. If you look below the surface, what's
been re-born inside is a new found sense of hope and
inspiration. While it's easy to say "That's because we have
a new leader!", the truth is that Obama simply represents
our own actualized potential projected outward.

Think about it.

He represents an underdog that came out on top. He
represents unity when the past was ruled by separation. He
represents hope that conquered despair. He represents light
that awakened darkness.

If you look inside, do you feel a personal connection to any
of these stories?

I sure do.

I'm bringing this up because it's possible to "elect hope"
every day of our lives, regardless of what's happening in
politics. Yes, external factors might make it easier on
certain days then others. But if we understand that this
feeling of inspiration that has recently washed over our
nation actually comes from within, and that if we all come
together at the same time to project it outwards, what
unfolds is a celebration of human existence, diversity, and
change.....and guess what? It can happen all the time!

So YES, let's celebrate the dawn of a new day!! But let's
not make it (just) about Obama. Let's focus on the energy
of change, the spirit of unity, and the beauty of hope. For
if we realize that he didn't create these energies inside of
us but rather we projected them onto him, we can take
responsibility for the momentum that we've created and
sustain it over time to better serve ourselves, each other,
and humanity as a whole.

Does this make sense? As always, your comments are
welcomed and appreciated.

Much love,

Max

PS: It's becoming clear that the most important mission
of selfcentered is to build community so we're going to
test something out. For the upcoming Out of Your Mind
Immersion on Nov 28-30, the next five people that register
can bring a friend FOR FREE. That means that the price
of the workshop is now cut in 1/2. We can only do this
with five people so contact us ASAP to make it happen.

Max, THANKS for the wonderful reminder of true leadership. Living in Iowa, the campaign season lasted a very very long time, which gave US a huge head start in learning all about the art of politics the Obama way.  POW is the key word here. Owakening Ompowering Oneself to transform and change all aspects of poverty into wealth. NOW that Change.gov has arrived to gather our stories and visions and take our applications of how WE can share our genius to be of service in forming a more perfect union...GET SELF CENTERED is at the top of the priority list of OWAKENING everyone to the genius within. Here is the play of the TOP PRIORITY of our nation, Makiah's Bill, every child matters. Makiah(.com) and i would LOVE to make it to your next IMMERSION...WE have no money. We have our own bank, Art Bank of America(.com) overflowing with assets that really matter. If you would take our first CHECK and provide us with lodging and airfare, WE would love to be fully, totally and completely IMMERSED in your genius love...so WE could share our genius and combine our VISIONS in Owakening Ompowering Oneself in making this a more perfect union and making the CHILDREN the TOP PRIORITY of our nation. Blessings of beautiful pure perfect love.

Have you read Bob Cesca's quote?  It reminds me of what you wrote:

"We've crossed over to a better place and a more hopeful time. Not simply because of one man, but because we were prescient enough to have recognized ourselves and the true nature of America reflected in that one man. From there, we set about the task of freeing ourselves from the darkness of this decade and the skulking shadows that have for too long haunted us. In this respect, all of us -- all races -- are a little more free at last. After all these years, we've finally arrived at moment when America feels like it's supposed to feel. This January 20th, all of America will be stepping through those doors with President and Mrs. Obama as the dark ride of the last eight years reaches its long-overdue conclusion -- a conclusion more joyful and overwhelming than I think any of us fully anticipated prior to 11 p.m. eastern time Tuesday night -- when we pushed beyond a crucial threshold on our way to a more perfect union."
